A escama
The texts read during the performances were never made public in order to emphasize orality and so that the audience could be fully focused on listening and on the present moment.
"The
fish scale" gives title to two texts - a small epic poem and an essay -
that were written after a dream in which a scale was found on the
forehead of the artist.
In the description and creative exploration of the interpretation of the dream, the artist combines the reading of "The Thousand and One Nights" with “The Indiscreet Jewels" (by Denis Diderot), in a free association that relates images, times and geographies. She suggests other meanings for the appearance of the scale in the dream by relating the "technique" of dream-formation to art and its interpretation to art critique.
